I've looked at this thread many many times, every time something has been posted to it and then some, and now I have something to admit:

I think I'm in love with Leeny (or at least the avatar of Leeny).

:D

I don't think it's insane. One of the better ones I've seen. You did the whole thing in an hour?

That's uhm... impressive.

I'm not sure I ever really felt the urge to see Scott's spleen, though.

Where can this jam possibly go from here? I was going to contribute early on, but then it became a serial type thing, and now I've got nothing.

I tried to get him to put up his comic adaptation of the work of the Bard, but he said he wouldn't until it was finished.

Don't go and pull a Douglas Adams on us, Greg.

Try to save it as a ".jpg". Most webcomics are .gif and .png, but if you're scanning something in, .jpg will do fine.

What's a floppy got to do with it, and where is/ how do you upload to your webspace?

I have my monitor at 800x600, and I really disliked having to scroll in the tiny frame. I don't really like frames, either. Thankfully, Scott doesn't bother naming his base files index.html, so you can get directory listings. Go to http://www.scottmccloud.com/comics/mi/ and just go straight to mi-17...

Does that ending qualify as a deus ex machina? Did I predict, or even influence, the ending of a MI? I went to the library last week and was going to check out a book by Scott. They only had one copy, and they didn't have it--it showed up in the computer catalog as 'lost'. Apparently someone liked t...

Re: Reformatting Infinite Canvas Comics for print

I've got something of a delemma. I just posted a comic on my skateboarding site called Skategeezer http://www.nosewheelie.com/griptales/1/index.html Neato. I like the curly trails. Well, I just saw a post on a skateboarding bulletin board I follow from a friend, who publishes a print skateboarding ...

"e-mail" comics aren't soooop wide-spread, but I guess you shouldn't call them webcomics, as they aren't published on the net (yet). Technically, a comic published via e-mail is published on the net, since e-mail is part of the internet. It's not a webcomic, though... unless perhaps both the sender...

Activity (or inactivity) and the Muse

Greetings, What have your experiences been with the correlation between daily activity and your creativity, especially if your daily activity is very anti-creative? Last week, after about six months of 'unpaid vacation' (unemployment), I began a job doing assemply line type work. It's mind numbingly...

He's livin in Southern California, the wackiness capital of the world. I once read a statistic that said that a new monkey god was invented every twelve hours in LA . As a fellow resident of those parts, I must refute that statistic as a gross exaggeration. Every 36 hours. Tops. "The coastline runs...

That is a cool pic that Wikkit took. But for the record, I believe it's an orangutan, not a babboon. And we all know you shouldn't mess with an orangutan, else he put you on trial for Scientific Heresy. For they are the "Defenders of the Faith, Guardians of the Terrible Secret" All of McCloud's mon...

You know what would be good to end the monkey strip? A deus ex machina. The bad guys will be on the verge of killing the good guys, and suddenly the zookeeper will wake up the baboon that's making it up and feed him a banana. Then he'll go ponder like the one I took a picture of at the Kansas City z...

Here's a new question. If lentillations are considered animation, are holograms animation. Would holograms lie within or outside of comics? I just finished a one hour comic. I got the plot idea and a name from http://rumandmonkey.com/elements/index.php , can I still call it mine? I'd stay at the hostel. It's cheap, and has a good location; the neighborhood is a bit seedy, but I wasn't worried about walking around alone at night. It's a couple blocks from Nicollet ('Eat Street', some great food) and is right next to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, which is an excellent mus...

It's been a couple years since I read Macbeth, and I've only seen Hamlet as a movie (from 1996.. seemed pretty faithful), but I had to vote for Hamlet.
