Just curious...
Is any webcomic presented in storyboard format as the only format it is presented in? If so, I'd appreciate a link to them to check them out.

Re: Page advance by browser "<" and ">&
Keyboard navigation is a really great idea. Thanks. As a marketer, I've always felt my biggest advantage is being innovative. I've never heard of something similar being done on a webpage so I don't know how or if you could do it. Perhaps someone else here will know. As I said in my first po...

Page advance by browser "<" and ">"
What I would like to do is to have only art on the webpage for the viewer to see. Currently, I'm thinking along the lines a sequence of borderless single panels strung together as a sequence of webpages. Not three-to-four-panel comicstrips or six-plus-panel comic pages. However, there's the issue of...

I never get the writer who does not want to show a sample of their work because somebody might steal their idea. Let's just face it, people ... there is nothing new under the sun and it has all been done before. I always like to challenge them with, "What are you doing differently that Shakespeare ...

I guess I haven't yet found a fully-done style which I prefer more. I'm still searching (a.k.a. looking at one webcomic after another) so maybe I just haven't come across it yet.Joel Fagin wrote:As i said, most people use WACOMs to skip pencilling, inking and scanning, doing all three steps in one.

WACOM tablets . There are probably others but WACOM are the best. They vary from cheap simple small ones where you draw on a surface and it appears on your monitor, to a flat LCD screen you can draw directly on to. Kinda like a laptop without a keyboard. They take quite a bit of getting use to, min...

Re: How do you find and select a good artist to collaborate
And since I want to do this as a webcomic, that is probably best since I do not expect to be generating money for a while with it. Being a marketing consultant, I do have a number of ideas on how I think I can turn a profit, but I will need to establish a market presence first. That's useful! You s...

As an artist I'm always looking for new and exciting projects to work on. That's great to hear. I hope there's more artists like you out there. :D The problem is that most of the people that post looking for an artist either don't show enough of their writing to properly evaluate... Yes, I know my ...

Re: How do you find and select a good artist to collaborate
Then there's how to select an artist. Uh... Select? In all honesty, you should probably take whatever you can get. Well, if I'm not picky, I might as well just do the artwork myself. It is much, much harder for a writer to find an artist than an artist a writer. By the posts in this sub-forum, that...

Well I have posted about many of my experiences in another item you posted . And they were and are appreciated. Suggestions: Send an e-mail to somebody who is already or recently in the past produced something. It does not have to be local but sometimes sitting over coffee and talking helps. Of cou...

How do you find and select a good artist to collaborate with
I've long had a story that I think would be a good one for a webcomic. I also draw but not to the level I feel the story needs. It would need some very good realistic renderings of the human body. What I'm wondering is how best to find and select an artist to collaborate with. I live in Madison, Wis...

Writers seeking artists, but no artists seeking writers.
Lots of writers here seeking artists in this forum, but I don't see any artists (except one in high school) seeking writers. I'm just wondering if any writer has been contacted by an artist by posting here. Personally, while I would enjoy such a collaboration on a webcomic, I expect to have to do my...

Is bandwidth still an issue?
Over a year ago, I did a white paper on the future of peer-to-peer networks and entertainment. Here's a link to it: http://www.scottjensenshow.com/P2PRevolution.pdf There's even a section in it on webcomics. Just like to touch base and see if paying for bandwidth is still an issue. The more visitors...

Drawing comics directly into the computer
Is there a touchpad and writing implement system that enables one to do essentially pencil drawings on computer? Some system that registers how much you press down and how much of the implement is touching? Then having other features that enable you to do layers, highlights, word balloons, etc. An i...
