I am a cynic. I expect the worst. I am pleasantly surprised much more often than the average bloke. I wasn't expecting much, so I wasn't dissapointed in general. While watching the movie I kept changing from, "Ooooh, good idea!" to "Ugh, poor execution," back to, "Yes! I love that bit!" and back ag...

Being very familiar with the Guide in its various formats, I wasn't expecting much from the movie. Every bit of pre-release information I saw which suggested to me that the movie would be good was countered by another bit of information indicating otherwise. My experience of watching the movie was s...

Probably like your second example, if I read it correctly. Think of the word "wall" and put a "z" in front of it. That's how I've always said it.

This is very interesting. I've seen some of Raph Coster's other writings on games- where he's used images in less-sophisticated methods that here- and I've found that he's always worth my time to read.

I have no experience with Comixpress. I would say that when doing business via the web, an instant receipt via email confirming that an order was received is a good thing and I generally expect something like that. I don't think you're being too impatient in expecting a simple reply. As I said, thou...

Well, because I don't have have that one in any home video format and I don't to the rental thing. When I started doing my Easter movie watching thing, I had a smaller collection of movies, so I did venture to Tower or Blockbuster or whatever in search of rentals, but these days It's easier to come ...

how do you do double pages then? I don't really understand the question. If you're drawing on paper, you put two pieces of paper next to each other and make sure the image lines up. After scanning, you'll have to use Photoshop or some other program to put them together into one image file. If you'r...

but with the world bubles and etc..how do the pros do it?..dont they just hand drawn the bubles and type in the dialogue?..idk.. They probably do it a lot like what William said above. Also, order is important, too- Don't draw the bubble first (no matter if you do it by hand or by some computer met...

If it is some fasinating Asian version, it would be cool to see the cover design.

Speaking of foreign versions of UC, maybe Scott chould go translation one step further and do a sort of manga version of UC with an Astro Boy inspired version of his avatar.

After seeing the trailers, I'm thinking "This might not be as bad as I'm expecting." ..... Bottom line, they're probably gonna get my $11 regardless of what I hear about it from now until opening night. I agree. I'll be seeing it no matter what the reviews sound like. Sometimes I find that I comple...

Are there any previews out showing scenes from the movie? There are three more trailers available beyond the teaser-trailer you describe. Check out the "H" page at Daves trailer site for one. There are also several links to a British version and an "internet version" here , which are very similar t...

Movies get such a huge amount of publicity and are seen by such a wide audience that when a bad adaptation is made, those unfamiliar with the original works may think poorly of any incarnation of the work, no matter if it's the poor movie they saw or the novel they never bothered to read as a result...

This is a case of MSIE doing something it really shouldn't. ALT parameters are supposed to display when the image can't (such as a broken image link or when using a screen-reader for the blind), not display tool-tip help. Fortunately, there is a solution which will work: Use the TITLE parameter inst...

In contrast, here is an excellent example of where a cell phone's form and function line up extremely well with the form and function of another device: Cell phones as MP3 players.

Cell phones and comics? I'm a skeptic.
