pretty bizzare! I enjoyed the "split" path, and how the guy says something like "are you still with me?" when you get back on track (if you choose to go up first and then down).

It had a real psychedelic feel to it... a real senses of "atmosphere" as well.

so i have a few anouncements about magicinkwell.com and the future.

i just finished restoring the FULL ARCHIVE to the site (which is now up). i'd forgotten about a lot of these! man, what a record of my progess over the last few years! it's eerie....

i even added the FRITZ strips (my short lived daily strip from 2001) at the tailend of the archive list.

i'm making the move to moderntales.com this month and will probably be posting strips to the inkwell sporadically from now on (or until i'm done with the story i'll be debuting at the moderntales site). I'll be trying to divert most of my readers to my newest work CUENTOS DE LA FRONTERA, which will be available ONLY at moderntales. CUENTOS will be a comics retelling of some of the most famous mexican border folktales, stories which have been handed down for generations here in south texas/northern mexico (still called "la frontera" to this day). moderntales.com launches March 1st.

as for the inkwell, i'll be putting the goodies and link sections up by the end of the week and will not post another strip till sometime around the san diego comicon 2002.

i hope that many of you will subscribe to moderntales.com, which will feature lots and lots of great webcomics from some of the most talented ppl on the web right now.

thanks!

p.s. WHIMVILLE will launch in summer 2002!

Modern Tales looks really juicy with all of the talent over there. I've already requested to be a charter member and I'm looking forward to the launch!

over three hundred some-ought people have already requested to be charter members when the site launches (and the number keeps growing as the days pass). also, most of the people involved have noticed an increase in traffic at their sites over the last few weeks (myself included). things are starting to build up to a really nice point. i'm going to be curious to see how this all goes. i'm just glad i'm part of it, you know?

Over 300 charter subscribers? That's not bad at all, I'd say. When I sent my email to subscribe, Joey asked if I would be interested in doing a strip for the next go-round in August (tentative- we'll see), so it's nice to know there's a decent audience building up.
