Is it possible to select an area in a layer and use the control-backspace fill function (on Windows... I don't know what keys give the same effect on a Mac) to fill it in with a multiply-fill effect so you don't accidently fill in any other areas?
I am working with extremely large files and want to keep to one layer if possible. I usually use a seperate layer set at multiply when working with smaller files... I noticed that the regular fill tool could be set to multiply mode, but I don't know if the control-backspace fill function can be set to multiply mode...
Also, any other tips for coloring with large sized files would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Coloring large files
Look into using the channels in Photoshop to save selections. Much, much smaller than separating colors on different layers, very powerful!
