The talented and all-too-unknown Justine Shaw has a major new online release, 40-some comics-complexity pages, at http://www.nowheregirl.com

This slice-of-life is getting some strongly positive comments on other forums, and is worth checking out.

That is extremely nice stuff... I'm really impressed.

I'm curious as to how long she works on each page. Her use of colour works really well to set the mood.

It's nice having so many pages, but having to wait until December or January for more content will be frustrating

Cool stuff.

Thanks for the link.

The art is gorgeous. I can't exactly call the story "gripping" at this point, but it had me interested enough to click through more than a dozen panels. I'll probably be back for more.
Peace out,

Max Leibman

The series, while it was viewable, was intensely moving--but it looks as though the site is down. We may have generated too many hits....

Nowhere Girl's running fine for me. Might have been a temporary glitch. Would have been a shame to lose this permenantly so soon after finding it.

Yup, it's back; I had just recommended it to my son, who reported the problem to me (which I verified). Now, if only there were more frames....

I like the way the panels are put together.

The art is ok, but the story is fantastic.

It starts of slow, but when it takes off, it does so with the gentle tugging this kind of sensibility needs and it keeps getting better!

One of the best realistic online comics i've read. This must be partially inspired on real-life accounts, cuz i recognise some themes from friends i know.

In spite of well-worn themes (teen angst, lesbians and Smiths references), this is excellent work. This seems like the work of an artist who will only improve, too.

But...I gotta say it: I wish it were in a book!
