ATP Autosite 7.0 release!

Post by fredirc »

After a long month and a half of development, it is finally here! http://downloads.atp.cx

For those unfamiliar with this program, ATP Autosite is a site automation script to remove the hassle of constantly updating your site.

PHP based, it can auto-update, on any schedule you want. It has a navigation system to let your viewers read your entire archive (all dynamically generated so as to save on disk space and avoid broken links at the same time).

New to this version is complete modulation. Each dynamically generated aspect is now a tag to be placed wherever you want in your own code. Also new; the script is now date driven, for easier bookmarkablity. This way you can insert new past strips without shifting the urls of every strip in your archive.

This time around the code is opensourced under the GPL, so download a copy, take a look, and hopefully use.

Enjoy!

Excellent work!

Just to clarify- This is a set of scripts specifically designed for comics websites, so if you want to run a comic site that updates frequently, this would be something you want to look at.

I always wanted to clean up my own scripts and release them for use, but the early bird catches the worm, and David's done some good work with this.

By the way- Are there any links of sites running on this that you can share so people can see how it functions?
Good morning! That's a nice tnetennba.

Not yet, no. The only current user is the beta tester, and he still needs to implement the release version.

ZWOL seems to run well/site looks good too-

Post by burntdog »

Well I plan to try out ATP too. ZWOL looks like a well set up site though too so if you're planning on releasing scripts I'd be your best friend :)

I have a book called PHP/My SQL Applications which is pretty good but considering I'm learning PHP and SQL as we speak and I'm SLOOOW, I wonder if I'll ever finish....
