WOLF AND MAN - updated every Wednesday

Post by jkroeg »

http://wolfandmancomic.com/

Wolf and Man is a comic I've been working on for about 6 months. It takes place in the nomadic era before humans settled. It's the 'first' boy and his dog story. A man is separated from his tribe and his girl. He needs the help of a wolf to survive.

It's pure action/adventure.

Give it a look! Tell me what you think!

I am not a fan of the style of artwork used, and I tend to favor the use of actual dialogue to facilitate the art of story telling within a comic book environment.

That said, it still manages to get the tale told. It doesn't come across as simply a bunch of images posted at random, with no coherent tale.
I would also have preferred an option to download and "read" it in PDF format to the sole format offered.

Even though you're not a fan of my style, it'd nice to know the story is getting across and things are making sense!
Ill consider the PDF option. I would need to update it every week which would be a pain but probably wouldn't be too much work.

Thanks for the input!

I'm not a fan of the style that you used, there. I've never met an artist with only a single style of art within their realm of talent. It's one work of art. There's likely other art that you've done that I might like.

Thanks for keeping an open mind! I've got some character sketches you might like on my deviantart page.

That was good advice about the PDF, I hadn't offered that on my website.

http://www.gothink.co.uk/

Now I think I could offer other formats too for the kindle & ebook users. I'll have to look into how to convert them and retain the image quality.

Thanks for the tip.

This is great

Post by clusy »

It reminds me of the film Apocalypto...

I watched this film with the English language turned off and without subtitles, before I watched it with the subtitles... it made for a much better film when it was just the actions and body languages that you were watching.

This is why I like this... it doesn't need a physical voice, it already has an emotional one.

Keep it up, great work.

Thanks!!!!
I see the similarities, but hopefully that's all me and Mel Gibson have in common.
I always thought Wolf and Man would make a cool indie movie, with no dialogue, or soundtrack. Just those sweet sounds of nature and violence.
Thanks again for the kind words! It means a lot.
