TITLE: Even Off

SHORT SYNOPSIS: Michael Hart is a depressed alcoholic due to the passing of his wife and the downfall of his career as the Lead Detective of Forgotten City as well as his vigilante-ing as the hero, Even Off. The District Attorney has been murdered and former-Lead Detective Hart’s skills are once again needed by the Forgotten City Police Department. He must now beat his alcoholism and depression or at least cope with them in order to have a clear head as he returns to the streets as Even Off. While trying to solve the murder of the District Attorney, Hart will have to prove himself to the F.C.P.D.’s new Lead Detective, Marcus James —Hart’s former trainee. Even Off will have to deal with The Czar, the Russian Mob Boss who is an international black-market weapons dealer, and the poplularity-crazed villain Ztatik!

STORY:

EVEN OFF is about the masked vigilante, Even Off, being forced out of retirement to defend Forgotten City because all of the superheroes left. Now Forgotten City is currently ran by corrupt cops, criminal empires, and emerging super villains.

Even Off is Michael Hart, a depressed alcoholic and former Lead Detective of thr Forgotten City Polivr Department. Michael had to take leave from the force when his wife was diagnosed with brain cancer. Shortly thereafter, Forgotten City turned its back on Even Off deeming him a “magnet to evil” and the “worst superhero Forgotten City has ever seen.” When the people stopped believing in Even Off he stopped believing in them. He fail into the shadows and was never seen from or heard of again.

When Even Off went into hiding was Michael Hart’s world began to spiral out of control because his wife passed away and he went into a deep depression along with a severe case of alcoholism. Since then, criminal empires have come to power, and through secret deals and payoffs, corrupt city politicians and police officers have watched blindly as the underworld has taken over.

The only person who can even begin to attempt to put justice back into Forgotten City is Even Off. In order for Michael Hart to once again become Even Off, he must get sober and beat his depression. Yet, Hart can not do it alone as he will need help from the current Forgotten City Lead Detective Marcus James --his former trainee-- and a stripper named, Talula.

Among the of villains facing Even Off is The Czar, the Russian Boss whose lead operation is weapons smuggling. In addition, a super villain that will be seen in EVEN OFF is Ztatik, a loose cannon with an electrically charged suit whose main goal is to be the most famous super villain in the history of Forgotten City.

This title is one that will push many boundaries of the current comic book market. Even Off could be a successful comic because there are currently no titles similar to it. Unlike typical comic book superheroes, Even Off is a superhero who does not have any desire to be a hero. His only motive is to gain the acceptance of his deceased wife. Hart feels like he needs to show the his wife that he could once again be a good man. The only way he feels he can do that is to come back as Even Off, even though Forgotten City citizens might not appreciate his return.
