New format for The Imaginary

Post by Eric F Myers »

Were you sick of waiting every two weeks to see a new Imaginary strip?
Were you even reading?

Eric and I (Eric) have decided to change a few
things. Gone is the the cluttered site and long waits between
episodes. We are now going to focus more on the comic and the tale we are
trying to tell.

There are really two stories of the Imaginary that are being told. One
is the adventures of young Mikey. This was originally intended to be a
full color, full page monthly strip where nothing much happened. With
this part we were only going to glance at certain topics of the
series. The Second story was to be our printed comic that focused on a
now adult Mikey. We were going to publish this comic quarterly,
distribute, and sell it ourselves.

For multiple reasons we have decided to overhaul the entire project.
We are now going to publish both stories on the website weekly. We are
still planing to self publish the comic but we want people to see that
there is more of a story going on than the Young Adventures of Mikey.

The new layout has already started for Young Mikey. I'll let you know
when the Adult Mikey strips start. Thank you for reading. Feel free to
leave feedback. We would love to hear what you have to say about the
series so far (plus we need blurbs for the new site!).

i'm sure it will help your update schedule, and i know you're capable of drawing a good standard daily sized comic strip, but I'm going to miss those large pages. I really like both the layout and the fade to reality of page six.

To tell you the truth, I miss the larger format too. We got behind at one point and we thought that if we went down to a single line strip we would kick them out faster. But the opposite became true and now we haven't posted a new strip in a few weeks. So until we get another strip up, here are some animals to distract you.
