We've recently finished a UK DIY indie comic based on a fictional retelling of the life of Joseph Merrick, The Elephant Man.
Merrick: The Sensational Elephantman is a Victorian adventure/horror/cape gaslamp comic set in 1880's London. It steps between historical facts and figures and turn of the century folklore juxtaposed with the American superhero comic conventions of super powers, maskes, secret identities and fantastic adventures.

We released the book as a free download this weekend which coincided with the launch of a Kickstarter campaign to fund the remaining 3 issues of the first story arc.
