Greg, I was checking your archive and was wondering if this is this still active? I would like to participate but I looks like your last post and the last panel are out of sync. Isn't the 8 of hearts next? If not where are the last panels?

They've vanished. They used to be here, but I didn't save them into the archive and now they're not here at all.

For the consistancy of the archive, though, you can do one for the missing 8, if you like.

I may have my own archive on disk.
Give me a little time, I'll see if I have the missing card. Do you need any others?

I hope so. I would hate for someone to get mad at me because I rewrote their card.

I still have the mirror for the 52 card jam. The link is http://subatomiccafe.com/comics/52/52.html

I'm not sure if that is all of them, but it is most of them.

Later,
Randy

still missing

Post by Eric F Myers »

Randy, it looks like your mirror has four less cards than Greg's archive. So that means that the two last cards are still missing.

Cue the music, it seems that the games a foot, Watson!

Cool, unlikely

That made me smile. As I read that reply, and as I write my own, I am listening 'The Book of Tobit', a Sherlock Holmes radio drama starring Mr. Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce, originally aired March 26, 1945.

Crazy world.

me too

Same thing happened me. I had to go to http://subatomiccafe.com/comics/52/ then select 52.html from the list. It's the same address, it just doesn't work if you try to go to the page directly.

I tell you it's the deeds of a master criminal.

Watsons! You surprise me. The very cause of the problem is there before you. You simply had to observe that the period ending the sentence that contains the link was inadvertently included in the Href, resulting in an resource request that will not end in sucess.

Furthermore, the technical administrator for the server where Randy hosts his content is 6'2" in height, has shortly cropped red hair and speaks with a lisp.

where oh where did the missing art go...

Post by Eric F Myers »

Egads! You're right! How on earth did I miss that? Such a minor detail and it slipped pass me. I guess I'm not cut out to be a master sleuth after all. I must now go home, sit in the closet and hang my head in shame.

But I am hoping that someone will see all these new post and bring forward the missing panels.

Over to you Holmes.

I've fixed the above post so that the link is now correct.

Sorry, I've not been jumping in quite a long time...
But I do also have still a mirror running: http://www.k-jahn.de/52/52.html
And I guess there are all the missing panels.

Anyone working to reanimate this stuff?! 8)

My plan worked! I knew the missing panels would show up. Thanks, Karsten. I would still like to do the next pannel.

I think that's correct.

Thanks, Karsten, for pointing out that you still have all the cards so far! I'll get to work on downloading the ones I'm missing. We really had a good jam going, now that I look back on it.
Good morning! That's a nice tnetennba.

I've updated my own cardjam archive with the missing cards, so now there are three places to go to find them all:
  • Zwol.org archive (One card at a time)
  • Karsten's page (All on one page, horizontally)
  • Randy Oest's page (All on one page, vertically; Missing the last few, actually, but I know he follows this thread so maybe he'll update the page???).
Good morning! That's a nice tnetennba.

I had an idea before the last two panels surfaced, but that last "dream" one threw me off. Well, here's mine:

Cool.

I added it to the main archive. We'll finish this damn thing yet!

<strike>5 of Clubs!</strike>

Edit: No! Wrong! Totally Wrong! I messed up back somewhere along the line and we have two 7 of Spades and NO 7 of Clubs, so the next card is, in fact:

7 of Clubs!

After that, it will be 5 of Spades and we're back on track...
Good morning! That's a nice tnetennba.

I really enjoy being part of this jam and hope we get all the 52 cards together.
I'm glad to have made you guys happy with a tiny page.

Thanks. I was going to bring back Jack for the Diamonds card, but it looked like the Queen went through a lot trouble to get rid of him. Maybe that's more of a reason to bring him back. It's just that when I was rereading the whole thing I saw that great Joker panel by Sandy Carruthers and thought that no one did anything more with him. I bet he's the key to the whole plot. Could his crossbow be the murder weapon? Or did everyone have a hand in the killing like Julius Caesar, or was it overkill like Rasputin?
