I don't think it's that big of a problem. Given that curve, Neptune is obviously a good deal smaller than we thought.

That, or this doesn't actually take place on Earth, but on some truly massive planet occupied by giants.

Jack himself must have been roughly the size of Australia.

I'm not trying to make a joke here, but doesn't Uranus have a ring? Perhaps the ring kept shrinking, and sqeezed Uranus down to that size... of course, then it would have an incredible mass and probably suck half of the solar system into it... if not, then the laws of physics don't apply... If the laws of physics don't apply, then God is dead... God is dead... Jack is dead... Wait a minute- JACK IS GOD!!!!

Yes, Anthony, Uranus does have a ring (several, in fact), but the planet that Jack got hit with was Neptune. And you're not fooling anybody. You did make a joke. I saw you.

At any rate, I'd say that applying "laws" of any kind to this ramshackle story is a losing proposition, at best.

Uranus... Neptune... what's the difference? How do we know that either really exist anyway? Now planet X, where the Shaving Cream atom comes from- now THAT's a planet!

Hey, at least I didn't make any jokes about circling Uranus searching for Klingons...

No, I'd never make any jokes like that

And, Tony, no jokes about you not being able to tell Neptune from Uranus.

Since the forum upgrade, it's been pretty quiet in here. The forum as a whole was pretty dead for a few days -- most of the forum seems to be back in swing, but not the jam so much.

Maybe we just want to bring it to the next Ace, and end it there. Or at least one more card to tie things up. It'd be a shame if the whole story ended with an elipsis.
