I saw the discussion about public domain characters and I've decided to to toss one of my ideas into the ring.
To start, read "Consecutive Life". It's less than 1,000 words -- so it won't take too much of your time.
Basically, my proposal is this: create a story, as long as it somehow ties in with "Consecutive Life". Bradley is in prison for over 500 years -- so there's plenty of room to manuever. The world can change a lot in 500 years....
You could do a story about a guard at the prison ... the historian who stumbles on Bradley's life ... Bradley himself, before or during prison ... or create a new character ... as long as the story somehow ties into Bradley, or the concept of serving consecutive life sentences, it's all cool.
You could show how the outside world changes ... or the inner workings of a prison.
Or anything you can think of.
I hope some of you have fun with my story.
