Wait -- it's not Bernice! It's Susan! My Bernice-is-a-walrus-too theory lives on!

YA-HOO!!

Well, some days you have to get your jollies where you can.

...and as part of a completely bizarre extension of the office/sexual tension gag we now have GEEKS IN LOVE! I have to admit the entire office soap opera unfolding before the Ignored One's eyes really makes the gag for me.

Heh. Or just occurring to me it could be like the a good chunk of webcomics and deal with unrequited geek love which is a whole other kettle of *cough* fish than the two corporate power players bumping heads and perhaps bodies.

Let's see...

We've had YUPPIE LOVE, and GEEK LOVE.
Can WALRUS LOVE be far behind?

Since everybody in the office is hooking up, I'm putting my money on that the effete Doc Pettibone is really Mr. D's secret gay lover. Blackmail now becomes an issue, since it would be a major scandal if Mr. D were to be "outed."

If Jos' fakakta theory is indeed proven true, than we'll be seeing our tusked, "Casper Milquetoast" and Bernice together in a heart shaped panel in the end.

Is it just me, or is Susan hopping that Stuart asks her out for a Fish dinner tonight?

She must be, because everybody knows you can have fish anytime. So many varieties of fish, so many ways to prepare it. Ah, fish.

Yes, Stuart (not to be confused with Stewart), fish is the secret to longevity. My grandfather, who passed away less than a year ago, ate fish practically every day of his life. The man walked around all day smelling of broiled maceral, or baked cod, most of the time, for God's sake! He made it all the way to 96 years, and eight months. Hell, he probably would have lived to a hundred, if his failing peepers hadn't forced him into one of them old-folks homes that sucks the last juices of life from ya. I guess he should have eaten carrots, too.

And, Susan, the English no longer corner the market on Fish and Chips. We colonists have been enjoying them for years. Does any body remember Arthur Treacher's? I still remember many an evening of having the nuked Fish and Chips at Hooligan's Bar on Second Avenue, on the Upper East side. I also remember going to Boston and getting the Fish and Chips from some stand called Chubby's, and THAT was the WORST fish I ever tasted. Mainly because it had NO TASTE!
Of course Scott lives in California, where all the food is scary. I know I'm gonna start a brew-ha-ha by saying this, but, after traveling through out much of the Lower 48, and a bit of Canada, I firmly believe this: once you go one or two-hundred miles from NYC, the food slowly gets worse and worse.

No excuse me while I go open a can of tuna.

But you see, that's the point. All the Arthur Treacher's in Philadelphia have gone away. You can't get the fast fish you used to.

:x Boo!

Are you suggesting that where I live, in Portland, Oregon, that we have some of the worst food in the country?! Pish tosh! Pish tosh I say!

Especially if you're considering fish. We have the salmon industry for crissake.

Now that that's out of the way, I'm going to go open a can of tunafish.

Yeah, I was going to take issue with Rip's statement as well, but then I remembered that since I left New York State for sunny SoCal, I can't get any really good pizza. And Buffalo wings? Hah! Easier to find a packet of sliced hippopotamus in suitcase sauce! On the other hand, the Mexican food here is excellent.

I think it is.

I think it is a cow. I wonder if she has a secret hatred of cows and has made it her life's work to increase beef consumption by sweetly discouraging people from choosing alternate forms of animal protien.
Does any body remember Arthur Treacher's?
Useless trivia: Arthur Treacher was a shil! He had no fish credibility! He was a character actor from the late 30's - 60's era who licensed his name to a fish chain. I thought that was interesting. If you want to see him in action, he played the constable in Mary Poppins among other things.

EDIT: Filmography: http://movies.yahoo.com/shop?d=hc&id=18 ... es&intl=us
See! With the possible exception of THE STOWAWAY, he didn't even spend much time near large bodies of water! Sheeesh.

This is too cute. I registered just to mention how much I'm enjoying how awkward the new Improv is becoming. For Susan, anyway.

Stuart is obviously gay. Susan doesn't know it. Stuart probably doesn't know it. The walrus knows all.
