Hi,
my name is Adam Carpenter. I'm a 26 year old writer from London with 8 years creative writing experience. I've written for numerous voluntary and charitable projects.
I recently attended The London Super Comic Convention at the end of February and submitted a Graphic Novel Script to a SENIOR EDITOR at Titan Magazines called Steve White. My submission had only one piece of UNORIGINAL art to indicate the visual direction of the project. The Editor was impressed by the script and informed me that Titan are in the process of recruiting creative teams for original creator owned projects. He took my demo package and gave me his card and told me that if I presented a full submission he would guarantee to be personally in contact.
However I was told that without artwork the concept cannot be submitted. I am, like many others, looking for an artist to form a collaborative team with. As usual I can only offer an equal share of creative rights at this stage but there is the added bonus that any work will be submitted directly to Steve White at Titan Magazines.
The story is called 'The Resistor'. It is the first volume in a planned six volume series. It is a gritty, serious take on a London based superhero. The style is that of an urban fairy tale exploring the life of the central character Kyle Tailson, a 20 year old man living on a housing estate in London.
Please get back to me if you are interested with portfolio details. If your style matches the story I'll send you some of the script so you can make a decision.
Warm Regards
Adam Carpenter[/b]

Hey mate.
Unfortunately i'm not an artist, but also a London based writer and creator. Thanks for your post there, i did check out their website off the back of what you said and it seems as Titan maybe the way to go for me also! When i finally get an Issue out that is. So thanks for the heads up, i couldn't make the con myself and recently i've been umming and ahhing over which of the uk publishers was best for me. Titan seem to tick a lot of box's. So cheers!
If you ever want a chat, or advice drop me an email at nrslack@googlemail.com and i'd be happy to help if i can! I was in the same place as you a year ago and i'll tell you know, finding that "perfect" artist is not going to be easy!
