Hello out there, I am an ambitious, aspiring writer. I've been trying very hard to get into some serious work on a comic or graphic novel. Finding an artist has proven extremely difficult thus far, as I am poor as sh*t. So, since I can't pay for the art, and nobody seems interested drawing what i write, how about I write what you want to draw? I would love to work in every genre in comics, from human drama, comedy, to super hero, horror, fantasy, and evrything in between. I can provide diverse samples of my writing, as i already have a few scripts of my own. I am easy to work with, ready to hear ideas, and excited to begin.
So tell me about the story you want to tell.
Feel free to email me at dylhooper@gmail.com

tips
I've found that Zwol has a very limited amount of free artists, you may want to try digitalwebbing or smackjeeves.
For one thing don't sell yourself short. Looking professional can go a long way, so don't bring yourself down. Perhaps say "Aspiring writer looking to do a comic" in some way shape or form. Suggest multiple ideas! The more the better, I once submitted fifteen ideas and artists would simply ask for more of them! Also offer to work on someone else's idea. Finally give an example of your work in prose or script form to give the artist an idea of your strengths and weaknesses (I'd recommend linking to that rather than posting it in the form). Use google as a guide to find sites to post "want artist" ads and I'm sure you'll get your first gig eventually. My first comic was actually to naturalize a German artist's non-native English and from there the artist was so impressed that I worked on many more comics with him! Also note that a lot of artists like to work on short comics of around 10 pages or less.
With perseverance you'll go far.
Sincerely,
Robert/Ruyei
