Have a publisher but artist dropped out

Post by labrat »

Hi Guys and girls.

I have been signed up by a publisher who would like to keep anonymous at this moment in time, purely because it is the first time in their history that they have signed up a writer who is not part of a creative team & they don’t wanna be inundated with writing submissions.
They liked the story I wrote that they were going to pair me up with one of their regular artists, but unfortunately that chap has since dropped out due to a conflicting schedule.

That leaves me with four issues to be drawn, a contract to have it published but no one to draw the pretty pictures.
So, instead of waiting around for one of their regular guys to become free I thought I’d would see if any of you guys would be interested in taking over the pencilling & inking duties.
I’ve been given my shot being an unknown, so why shouldn’t the artist too.

I'm looking for a talented artist interested in working on a SteamPunk Victorian London based mystery with a strong female protagonist. It clocks in just over 90 pages, is completely written, and is fast paced and smart.
Plus depending on its success it has the potential to run for at least another two story arcs four issue stories and a spin off.

I won't say we're looking for a specific style insomuch as someone who is talented in their particular style, can work towards a deadline we'd determine together, and can handle working back end.

The artist needs to be someone who can handle both the character side of things and can work well with Victorian aesthetics, plus has skills with drawing iconic buildings. Since London is the backdrop, you need to be able to handle the iconic buildings of the city.

So if you wanna be part of something special drop message on here or at mattgarvey1981@hotmail.com

Thanks for reading the message and if you have any questions let me know.

Kind regards as always

Matt
