Hi my name is Tom Ward, I'm 30 years old from the UK.
I've recently launched a Kickstarter for my first comic Merrick: The Sensational Elephantman. As I write this we're 96% funded with 178 backers who have pledged a total of £4,333 and there's still time to go so it's looking like it will fund.
You can check it out here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ou ... lephantman
And see more info here: https://www.facebook.com/theelephantmancomic
For this project we completed a full first issue and put it out for free download, you can find the links on the Kickstarter page, please check it out. We've then funded the next 3 issues and the completion of the first story arc.
I'd like to build on this success and would like to begin work on another project and that means finding an artist/s to work with. I'd be looking to form something of a creative partnership really.
I have around 10 different pitches that I have at different levels of development. I think the easiest thing to do would be if you're interested send me samples of your work and let me know what kind of stuff you enjoy or would like to work on and I'll see if I have anything that will fit.
The end goal would then be to make some comics. Most likely launching a Kickstarter, whether that is off the back of another fully completed issue or if we attempted it off the back of a 8 page pitch would depend on the scenario.
What I bring to the table?
1 (soon to be) successful Kickstarter under my belt.
A professional editor as a girlfriend who will work on the project.
A proven track record of good PR and a number of decent contacts. For Merrick I received a bunch of reviews (which have praised my writing), done a number of interviews, a podcast and wrote an article that was featured on bleedingcool.com. Pretty much all of these have extended invitations for my return in the future and as Merrick issues 2,3 & 4 are released there will be lots of opportunities to cross promote with any new projects. If you want to check them out all interviews, reviews etc can be found posted out from the facebook page. I'll be tirelessly promoting our work, which means I'll be tirelessly promoting you as an artist.
I wouldn't be able to fund a complete issue myself, but I may be able to support the cost for an advance on a pitch package. We can talk about it and I'm sure sort something out.
I'd want my collaborators to be as passionate about any projects as much as I would be and so would want to set up something along the lines of a 50/50 back end deal.
If you're interested in maybe working together then drop me an email with a little about yourself, the kind of thing you'd be interested in doing and a link to your sequential work.

I am mainly interested in creating and working on my own stuff but if you are a publisher/artist/writer and have a project that you want me to work on then also get in touch, if I find it interesting I might be tempted.
Thanks
Tom
