Anyone interested in a 8 page Gangster Noir short?

Post by naffslack »

Hello my name is Nathan Slack, I'm the writer for Risen: Baron & Bride which is now 10 pages in on Taptastic.

http://tapastic.com/series/Risen-Baron-and-Bride

I've just finished a 8 page short set in Chicago in 1910 entitled The Black Hand. It's a story about a lone crippled assassin that has worked for the secretive organisation that predated the Cosa Nostra/Mafia.

I quite liked the little story as i normally do medieval fantasy so if there is anyone out there, artist wise thats interested on working on something like that, purely in a collaborative fashion, e.g a none paid way then let me know.

My plan is if i can get enough short stories of mine together to have enough material for my own anthology, Arcane Libraries Vol.1.

This will be purely black and white, dark and moody in tone, nothing too cartooney.

Also looking for a letterer to letter another 10 pager i've written which is being drawn as we speak, so if anyone wants some practice lettering a short comic story, also drop me a line.

Email me at nrslack@googlemail.com

Thanks for your time!

Risen: Baron & Bride looks great, I wish I could take a crack at it but I am just getting back into drawing comics, do you have any scripts laying around that I could take a stab at to see what I can / or can't do ?

wish I had more to show, I just got back into drawing comics after like a 10-15 year absence ... life took over ya' know.

So I been practicing my layouts and thumbnails because if I remember correctly those are the meat and potatoes of drawing comics. I think I can still draw ... how good ? don't know yet.

Here a link to my Deviant art page, not much there now but keep watching ... if you want to of course ...
