I am getting close to self-publishing my first comic book, (it's a B&W horror mag). I'm looking for someone who has experience in formatting all the pages in a manner the printers will find acceptable, including adding page numbers. The book has art from a number of artists who delivered in multiple formats and I'm certain I'll need to present one uniform file to the printer to prevent problems.
Ideally this same person could help prepare an electronic version for downloading as well.
Please only respond if you have really seen this process through to completion. Reference a couple of verifiable projects in your reply. I think the finished book will be 40 pages. Please give me a ball park quote of what you'd charge.
Thank you.

Printing Specialist at your service
Hi, I'm John A. Palmer IV a.k.a "CHILLI" and I wanted to apply as your Printing Specialist. A little background on myself: I graduated from the Illinois Institute Of Art with a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design/Game Design/Fine Arts. I consider myself something of a "Jack of all trades" so I dabble in a lot of everything (or most of everything). I have compiled an extensive portfolio showing off my skills in graphic design logos, sketching/drawing, illustrations, Lettering, etc. So I am well versed in formatting documents for print and preparing electronic versions to PDF or whatever format you like. I have completed formatting Magazine pages and comics that were ready for online and print.
So as far as verifying projects, if you give me your e-mail address I can send you the multiple projects I have formatted. Also as far as a ball-park figure, I would charge $150 for all the work involved. Let me know how that works for you, we can negotiate. Look forward to hearing back from you.
