independent studio
hi, there are lots of studio around and run by great talented artist, i was planing on making one but i dont know what or how to start one, if your asking who i am, im just a writer looking to make something that will be on the big boys shelf's.
Advice
You may want to elaborate and make your "pitch" professionally. Not only do we not know who you are as a writer in terms of style and level of expertise, but we don't know
As for making your own studio...I don't see how you'd make one without any experience making comics. You'd also have to a considerable amount of capital, comic studio making and all that is a business venture after all. If you're just starting out, find an artist first. If you have the funds, pay 50-100 dollars a page for a good artist, it's the easiest way to start out. If you don't, make a short script or several and convince an artist to draw for you. Short scripts are a much since comics are time intensive to draw, so a longer something is a no-no in that case. Also realize that it can take upwards to a year to create a short comic without funds, thus why I advise saving up.
