I am not seeking an artist. Oh no. Not I. But my story is. It is just too beautiful of an adventure to be bound by only words. The story I am referring to is called 'Light'. About a world that has been plunged into darkness and depression after years of everybody only focusing on the negative things in life. The media only showcasing murders and the majority of the working class thinking about how they are going to make it to their next paycheck. The children not sure if they will have something to eat later that day. But when I say it has been plunged into darkness, I don't mean figuratively. I'm being literal here. The stars in the sky have faded. There are clouds of smog everywhere you go. The people have sunk into depressive states and no longer work or do anything for that matter, and thus the structures have begun to crumble, vehicles have started to rust, and pollution is at an all time high with garbage populating the city streets. Grass, trees, and other wild-life have died off. But worst of all, the one's that have truly lost all will to live... turn. Turn into ferocious hounds, composed of complete fear and darkness. If you were in a normal state of mind, you'd run when a pack of these creatures showed up. But most of the depressed population just sit there as they are devoured, one by one. The world's population of humans shrinking as these beasts take over the landscape. And at the center of all of this carnage, just a little, 12 year-old girl. The story begins with her and her parents trying to survive in this wasteland. Her parents are two of the few that have refused to take this beating lying down and stand to fight it or at least flea, in order to fight another day and protect their daughter. But it doesn't take long before her parents meet their doom as well, sending her into a spiral of sadness and sorrow. And just when she has lost her will to fight as well, a small ball of light appears, promising to save her. The rest of the story follows their adventure as they try to get her parents back and fix this whole mess. Along the way, the ball of light tries to show the little girl the joy of having a planet to their self, trying to keep her mind off of the hole in her heart in order to keep her from turning. They face perilous obstacles, share sad times, and meet friends along with foes. A story filled with sadness, a little humor, adventure, and originality, with a back story involving an epic war that explains how these events came to be. This is Light. Now before I continue, I just want to put it out there. I can not afford an artist up front. But I am more than willing to give the majority of the first comic issue's profits over to my artist of choice. Even if it has to be 90% of the profits. But after that, the next two issues will be split 60% you and 40% me. This comic will be a short story, consisting of only 3 issues. I am looking for whatever artist feels like their art fits this story. Whether it be anime, western, or whatever other type you might practice. And this story is currently a work in progress. I am a pretty fast writer, and have most of the story actually thought up and written down, but it is no where finished and I still have to convert from what I have written in book form into comic script form. But I know where it starts, and I know where the adventure ends. Along with many of the main plot points. If you'd like to suggest creative ideas along the way, then feel free. I am not a professional writer or anything like that. I have a full time, regular job. But I've been writing short stories since I was 17, I'm 23 now, just as a hobby. But I can't let this one just be words on a piece of paper. And I can't keep this one to myself like the others. So if you are a professional artist, then great, but if you're just starting out and draw decently, then that is fine too. Now below is a copy and paste of the first page. Not too much is going on in the first page, but it is in the second page and from then on that the action and drama starts with the little girl. If we start communicating through email, I won't copy and paste the issues to you. Instead, I will attach the Microsoft Word file in an Email of each completed comic issue. Feel free to email me if this project might interest you. Hopefully, we might become good friends one day. heroproject@live.com
Here is the first page:

Panel One: The room is pitch black. Have a small white-ish blue orb on the ground in the center of the panel. Not too large. It should have light reflecting onto the ground so the viewer can tell that it is on the floor. This is one of the main characters, Alyx. We shall refer to him as a ‘he’, even though he does not have a true gender. He is a ball of light.
Panel Two: Have an arm coming out of Alyx, lifted up slightly as if he is getting ready to put his hand on the ground to lift his self. His elbow is slightly bent. But his arms and hands do not look human. Imagine more like a starfish’s tentacle things. His face, along with the rest of him, is still flat on the ground.
Panel Three: Alyx’s hand is planted on the ground. His arm is bent at a 90-degree angle as if he was doing a push up with one arm and fell flat on his face. His hand is bent where a normal wrist would be.
Panel Four: He is looking up at the viewer. His arm still in the same position and his back bent where a waist would be. His other arm is finally shown, resting underneath his chest/upper-body region. Bent at where an elbow would be as he is propped against it. He has a very simple face, but in this panel, his eyes are shut while he rubs one of them with the arm that he isn’t propped up with, his mouth open as he yawns.
1. SFX: YAAAAAWWWNN
Panel Five: Has Alyx with a confused expression on his face as he is looking to his left, or right, doesn’t matter. Still in the laying down position, but with both arms under his chest region now.
Panel Six: Alyx is shown from far away now. It is apparent now how small his light is within this massive room. Have Large globes on the edges of the room, casting light onto the walls. The globes should be shown as pure white light. These globes are resting on low stands that levitates a couple of inches from the ground and wrap around the bottom third of each globe. They stretch on down the hallway infinitely until their light can’t be seen and they come towards the viewer until they run off the panel edges. If Alyx was the size of a softball, then these globes would be the size of a basketball. The rest of the room should be in complete darkness if there is not a globe of light in that area of the panel.
