Gritty artist sought from wrestling comic biography

Hi Guys,

I'm a writer who currently has published work with AMM Markosia and Lucha Comics. My comics can be found https://www.comixology.com/Tony-McDouga ... ator/32090.

I'm looking for a collaborative partner to continue this success.

Ideally, I'd like an artist with a gritty, possibly scratchy style who can bring to life the harsh realities of the wrestling world. You should also be good with likenesses as the book will feature real people. It would be preferable if you were able to both pencil and ink.

The planned graphic novel would be a biography of the wrestler Chris Benoit which I have been heavily researching for and writing for the last two years. For those unaware Chris was a WWE wrestler who won the world title, however, while still active and employed by the WWE he murdered his wife and son before taking his own life. Obviously this would would a dark and harsh tale and you should be prepared for the impact that this may have.

The book would be an original graphic novel of 200 or so pages, so this would be a big undertaking. As I do not have a publishing deal as yet I would be looking for the artist to complete approximately 15 pages to put together a pitch for potential publishers. I have already talked to some editors and while they were positive about the book it was felt that artwork was needed to accompany my pitch.

This would be a back-end deal, so we would look to put together the pitch and then make a deal with a potential publisher. In that regard, you would also be my business partner on this project as well as the artist.
