Looking for non-commisoned artists for comic book

Post by Sachimps »

Thanks for checking this!
So here’s all the stuff you may want to know.
We’re looking for an artist that can do the art (and color) in a DC/Marvel style for a
comic book series.
This would be a partnership between the two writers and the artist.
THE GOOD:
-We already have a deal with a publisher to publish a minimum of 5 issues. This is
fantastic because we won’t have to shop any of it around, all we have to do is
present it to them and they WILL publish it.
-There are two writers and, we hope, you as the artist. We will have a contract with
whoever the artist is that states they will receive 50% of all royalties that ‘our side’
(after publishing costs) receives. There is no maximum limit.
- The comic already has over 20 issues written, so there would be no delay time in
getting each issue ready for the art.

THE NOT-SO-GOOD:
- We are receiving no upfront money from the publisher. This would be entirely
based on sales. We (the writers) are like anyone else and have been working on
this without financial compensation. If this is a problem for an artist (and, sure, it
could be) then we totally understand, no hard feelings at all. But this is an
opportunity to have a guaranteed published outlet!
- This would be a sort of work/leap of faith for everyone involved. But we believe it
could be a fun, interesting and lucrative project.
Again, if this isn’t to your liking, that’s something we understand. We know we’re
asking a lot.
WHO WE ARE:
We’re nice people and more than willing to work ‘with’ rather than dictate ‘to’
the artist.

If you’re interested, email outthereorders@yahoo.com with any questions or
concerns or even to see examples of writing.
We’ll be more than happy to discuss things with you.
Thank you for your time,
Mike Heath
