Penstrike PAID Anthology: Writers/Artists and more may apply
Posted: Tue Apr 19, 2016 3:52 pm
For this graphic novel anthology, Penstrike Publishing is focusing on using creative teams to work together to craft a series of stories. This is PAID work. The goal is to put it together as a Kickstarter with creators also having some creative input as to reward tiers. It will additionally be sold in our shop - without Kickstarter bonuses - which creators can still earn a small profit from.
All work 100% creator owned.
This means everyone! Artists, Writers, Letterers, Colourists. If someone has an idea and is looking for a creative team then your role is needed!
Every story will be based on 1 of the 7 deadly sins in contemporary sequential art. No theme/genre/subject matter is out of the question. The more diverse the better! The working title for this project is "The 7 Deadly Sins" for easy reference
Robert Sammelin - Senior Concept Artist at DICE, illustrator, graphic designer and comic artist that has worked with companies such as Image Comics, Darkhorse and BOOM! has illustrated the cover.
We do require a minimum of 7 creative teams, 1 for each sin. However we hope to utilize more than one story for each sin so don't fret if you see that several creative teams have already begun to contact one another to work on the sin you had in mind! If you are a writer with an idea you can find the guidelines on posting it with enough information for others. If you are an artist/letterer/colourist and want to be a part of the project but don't have a story, then read the guidelines for making a post where you can display your interest in finding a team to work with!

Your team will be making a pitch and by having everything included upon first submitting it saves us time to review and gives you a better chance at having it reviewed in a time efficient manner.
Penstrike Publishing's mandate is to help emerging artists (visual, literary, etc) succeed, to enable them and give them a platform to showcase their work alongside established talent, market themselves and sell their work. The more interest that each project generates, the more we get to give back to the creators involved. Even if this is going to be your first sequential art project and you think we may not accept you because you aren't a "name" just remember:
We aren't interested in your resume, we are interested in your work.
