Hello,

My name is Steve Moody, a published and broadcast writer looking to break into the comic industry. I have been writing for years and have a few credits to my name, mainly prose, but my first love is comics. As such I've been making my own short strips and single panel jokes which are in my DeviantArt gallery; I enjoy producing the art for these but my primary concern is the writing.
And so, to cut to the chase, here I am seeking paid scripting work. I mainly deal in genre fiction such as horror, sci-fi, fantasy, superhero and so on, but will give most things a go. If your website/organization needs a regular comedic strip or single panel comic (like the “funnies in newspapers and magazines), I can write that or perhaps produce the entire strip depending on circumstances.
If it's a full comic book you require I can provide the script, either based on something you have in mind or starting from scratch on a collaborative idea (perhaps as part of a pitch to a publisher if not self-published).

My list of credits are as follows:
“The Professor and Puckman in The Ghostbreakers: Sinister Sleuths anthology
“The Last Drive in the F/SF anthology
“The Man with the Webbed Throat in RBE’s Demons: a Clash of Steel Anthology
“Crossing the Bridge on the Tales of the Zombie War website, available for free here: http://www.talesofworldwarz.com/stories ... eve-moody/
I also wrote a regular blog/column for book publisher Rogue Blades Entertainment (website now out of use, publisher can be found on Facebook).
Co-writer of the comedy-drama radio play “No Win No Fee broadcast on Sine FM on 23rd February 2013.
Co-writer and co-director of short comedy film "Ghosts of Barnsley"; filming complete and awaiting editing.
I also had an agreement to write and produce a multi-genre comedy webcomic for New Affinity Press, but this has been postponed due to website development.
And samples of my own comics and artwork on DeviantArt are here:

As for payment rates, that will depend on what is required. I'm open to negotiation!

Anyone interested can PM me on this forum.
I look forward to hearing from you,

Sincerely,
Steve Moody
