I'm currently in the midst of working on a pitch project with a penciler friend of mine and a colorist both attached to the project. The pencils are done but we are in desperate need of an inker... but there's a catch.
The catch is that both the penciler and colorist are working on the project (much like I) without being paid upfront and because of this I cannot offer any money to the inker upfront in order to be fair to both the penciler (who is a co-creator on the project) and colorist. This is a passion project for the entire team and we need/would love to add another awesome collaborator onto the project.
The project's pages consist of 6 pages of the first issue of a comic book miniseries (4 issues in total) that we are putting together as part of pitch package we hope to get in front of publishers in the fall. The pencils are done and we are in need of an inker badly as our last inker seems to have gone off the grid.
The project is called "Momma Jones" and it's a gritty story inspired by exploitation films of the 70's.
Though I cannot pay you for the work as the inker for these pages right now... what I can say is that if the project gets up the inker will, along with the rest of the creative team, get properly compensated for their work.
