Introduce yourself. What is your skill level, any publishing credits, what genres or stories do you like or wish to tell.
PITCH yourself and/or your project. Even if you're offering cash to artists to work with you it helps to properly introduce who you are and what you are offering.
Best,
Ruyei/Robert Finch
Thanks!

Thank you for your advice, Ruyei! I so far have no publishing credits. I've just recently finished an 85,000 word Novel, that I've been submitting and am waiting to hear back from any interested agents. I'd be willing to upload a sample of that.
I really have always wanted to get into the comic business, not necessarily as a way to get rich or to quit my job (I actually love what I do), but as a way to see my visions come to life. It always seemed unattainable, due to the fact that I'm not artistically talented. But I've decided to try to make it happen anyway!
I'm currently in the middle of writing the script for my first comic series and am looking for an artist to partner with, to make the project a real thing. I also am looking find artists with ideas of their own, who might want to team up with a writer to make some projects happen. Whether we are working on my project or yours, I have the same end goal, I want to walk into a comic book shop and see a book that I wrote on the shelf. I want to go into a comic book forum and see people talking about characters I created or a story arc that I came up with.
My book is about an Urban Vigilante, My comic script is about Greek mythology (done right). I have a very dark, gritty style of writing and believe that not all stories should have happy endings, and that even the greatest heroes can't save the day every time.
Lastly, I'm not asking anyone to just jump into a project with me, I'm asking for you to hear me out. Talk to me, let's exchange ideas, discuss plans and see if we are a good fit for a partnership.
Maybe that was a little better?

I am trying to get into the comic business as well, my friend. Your pitch sounds intriguing, right up my alley. Feel free to e-mail me and I can send some samples and we can go from there!
