Webcomic seeks new artist

Post by DJKalteraphine »

Dear Artists,
Unfortunately, as these things will happen, the artist (and good friend of mine) of The Trials of Klahad of the Abyss has left the project because of reasons beyond our control. But there is still so much more to do!

The comic, nicknamed "Trials", is the an Americanized version of the popular Japanese Gag-Manga format; full of toilet humor, non sequiturs, anime/comic book/film references, and terrible, terrible puns. It is truly my magnum opus. It tells the story of a funny man named Klahad D.D.R. Darkrose, a world famous martial artist, an accomplished Chef, noted Motorcycle Enthusiast, and newly instated frontman of the greatest Gothic-Metal band of all time, Christ's Last Supper. The comic is also fairly action-based: As a martial artist, he's saved the Earth from The Demon King, The Dark Wizard Grindalwald, Hans Gruber, global warming, local cooling, and Emeril Legassi.

That really isn't the half of it. You oughta just check it out.

Indeed, if you come onto the project, we definitely won't be starting from scratch - there's a whole year of archives and 6 or 7 full scripts laying around.

The format has been, always, in 6 to 7 page issues released every other Sunday (the amount a month fluxed a bit, but usually it was twice). The page count and time between releases is definitely up for discussion.

Don't think you've got to draw the characters the same either; While nearly every design in the comic is a collaboration between me and my old artist, some new influence on the comic's look could be good. I'm certainly open-minded about it.

If you're even the most remotely interested, I'd much appreciate it if you contacted me - my e-mail and my MSN are both Keromota (at) hotmail (dot) com, and I have an AIM, which is DJKalteraphine. Any of these will suffice just as equally. I'm looking forward to talking to you.

With much love,
Joshua "P"
