ARTIST WANTED: For collaboration or for modest page rate

Greetings all I am looking for artists to work on the first issues of two different independent comic book. series. The first series is in the super-hero genre. The concept being to mix the traditional genre with a bit more realism, to juxtapose the fantastic and the real, bring the two right up to each other, and see how they interact. The second is a Science Fiction themed book set in the not-to-distant future, which stylistically is a mix between Y The Last Man and Transmetropolitan.

My plans are two-fold; to either pay for a few professionally made copies to show indy comic publishers in hope of the book being picked up, or to self publish a small run.

I would like to find an artist to collaborate with ( I believe the best comics are the work of equal partners) and in that case if the books get published all profits will be split 50/50. If I can’t find an artist to partner with I am willing to offer a modest page rate.

As far as my qualifications: I am not published, but do hold a degree in creative writing from the University of Arkansas. If I like the sample I will send the first issue of the script and ask for sketches.
