Hey,
I am looking for an artist who can ink their own work to illustrate a webcomic I'm writing.
The project will be in the Zuda format (i.e. 4:3 aspect ratio which, according to what I have read, is equivalent to half a traditional-sized comic page) but it is not for Zuda.
It will be in black and white and update three times per week, up to 12 times per month. There may be occasional scheduled hiatuses. It is not an ongoing story, but a series of three page stories, with occasional multi-part stories and one or two page stories.
The project involves putting comical spins on a number of different things such as mythology, pulp fiction, speculative fiction, superheroes, giant robots, etcetera. We will be dealing with a broad range of subject matter.
I need an artist to pencil and ink these stories, and that is able to adhere to the schedule.
And as it is very important to me that my collaborators enjoy their work, you must enjoy drawing things related to the subject matter we'll be dealing with. It's not enough to be able to do so, you must enjoy doing so.
Compensation will be in the form of twenty-five colourful, smelling-of-maple syrup Canadian Dollars electronically transferred to your Paypal account for every (half) page, plus half of the profits we make from our work. (Keep in mind that since this is a webcomic, profits are not guaranteed, and if they do come, they will be a long time coming).
If you think you're what I'm looking for, send a link to your portfolio to cavaliermadsen[at]hotmail[dot]co[dot]uk
