Hey fellow artist,

I see a lot of writers who need artist, and I know that we are all trying to break in so most people can't really pay, but I'm trying to make this a career and if I'm going to dedicate my time to drawing a page (which as you know can take hours) I feel like I should get paid something. What do you think is a fair asking price for a newbie artist?

Depends on the job -

b/w per page - £60 - $90
Colour £100 - $150

You can negotiate of course. If it's a graphic novel, you can do a bulk 'discount' deal. But you need to decide how much your time is worth.
