I'm a writer with very little artistic talent, but I've always been interested in alternative and underground comics. I especially enjoy the work of Daniel Clowes and Chris Ware as well as other luminaries, such as Harvey Pekar, Adrian Tomine, and Alison Bechdel.
I'm looking for an artist who's interested in working on a few short, cutting edge stories and hopefully progressing into a book-length project. You should have a distinctive style that stands out from the pack. If I like what I see, I'll tailor a story to your strengths.
I'm currently mainly focused on writing short stories and plays and getting them published in literary journals, but I also have an interest in publishing in comic literary journals (magazines) like Fantagraphics' Mome or Drawn and Quarterly.
If you're interested, send me a few sample pages/images or direct me to your website and I'll be happy to send you samples of my short stories. If we both like what we see, we can begin work on a short 4-7 page story for submission to magazines. And if that goes well we can start working on a book length project.
