Sequential Artist Looking for New Projects

Greetings everyone,

I am a sequential artist looking for some new work, willing to take on projects of all sizes and genres. I am currently working on comics full time, in the past few months I have completed (pencils and inks) a 22 pager as well as 3 eight page shorts. My work is constantly improving, and I have a handful of creators that will be ready to provide reference if needed. Recently I have started getting tables at conventions, networking and getting very positive feedback from attendees, customers, professionals, etc. I have worked professionally as a storyboard artist on a few productions, most notably the CBC production entitled Clean Fight.

My page rate is $45 a page for pencils, $60 a page for both pencils and inks. Depending on the merits of the project i *could* see adjusting/lowering my rate slightly.

I can also letter if needed, $5 a page.

Here are some samples, I have a more extensive portfolio I'll email you if you get in touch with me, nicholas.ogorman@gmail.com

Hi Nick,

Please have a look at this project,

I'm currently asking people to do a test page before choosing a penciller at the end of June. If you're interested please email me.

Thanks,

Wolf Beaumont

Thanks Wolf

Thanks Wolf,

I actually had seen that thread earlier today, it sounds like a neat project, specifically the whole historical element to it, I can dig that. I actually have a degree in history so that type of gig would be right up my alley so far as historical accuracy, etc. is concerned.

Regarding the whole Skype thing, I would have no problem with that, I love in-depth and steady direction from the writer, ensuring they, the client, get exactly what they're looking for. I have some problems regarding the test page angle, I am doing this full time and can no longer afford to do free work, it's not only money out of my pocket, but time away from several pet projects of mine in which I have a more vested interest in, as well as commissions.

I can forward you an elaborated portfolio as well as references and professional credentials (and also the the corresponding pages' respective scripts so you can see how well I work within guidelines), but outside of that, I can't work for free.

All the best,
Nick

Hi Nick,

Fair enough. I'm glad you understand why I am asking for a test page, because you are right, how an artist interprets a script is very important. I'd like to take a look at your elaborated portfolio + script so please email them to me with your rates. I'll get back to you regarding my commission in the latter half of June.
