I just finished writing a six issue comic. Its my first time and don't have the money to pay for an artist. But I plan to try and crowd source it on Indie go go. So my question is; How much would a average comic book artist charge for a 20 too 26 page comic book? I need to know so I can start the Indie go go campaign and set it as the goal. I was thinking around $500 per issue, so $3000 in total.

Every artist is different. You're definitely in the right ballpark for mid-level artists.....the ones who are professional but haven't hit it big as of yet. You can find some great talents at that price point, but you'll also want to be patient and find the RIGHT talent.

Well, if you're going to go through Indiegogo, I'd suggest you look for an artist you like and think'd be a good fit for your story. Then ask him/her what he/she charges and adjust the goal for the indiegogo campaign.
