My name is Ronnie and I'm looking for an artist to collaborate with on my original horror/fantasy comic, Legacy. I'm a published author and have a pretty decent fan base. My comic falls right into the type of material that my readers enjoy, so I hope that that will work in favor of the comic.

I'll say up front that I can't afford to pay anyone right now. I'm hoping to collaborate with someone on at least 3 pages of a 12 page script and a pin-up, so that I may start a Kickstarter campaign to produce the remainder of the script(and hopefully the following issue.) If the campaign is successful I'll have the funds to compensate everyone involved, and also pay for printing cost.

If the Kickstarter is unsuccessful, then I would gladly be open to a profit share, with the artist taking a greater percentage of profits than me, for the first 12 page issue. I am open to all types of art. After reading the remainder of the info I have posted, if anyone is interested in working with me, I can be contacted via email: Hathor422@yahoo.com.

With that said, here is a little about Legacy:

Throughout history scribes have been employed to turn reality into myth and legend. As long as the stories have been told, there have been those that keep order; women tasked with making sure the legends stay relegated to the shadows. The first scribe was Homer. Sought after by the forgotten children of the gods, he began to write the tales that would begin to turn man away from their parents. While they, the demi-god children of Athena, Aries, Aphrodite, and Dionysus, kept the monstrous races from interfering with the paths of men. With Homer then eventually Aesop’s tales, mankind slowly began to forget about the Mythic races.

Over time the Ancients began to tire of their duties and withdrew from this world to slumber. The old races returned with a vengeance, but three rose up to take up the Ancient’s cause. The Daughters of Lilith, seeking to atone for the atrocities committed by their mother, became the law among the Mythic races. Though they were effective, the Mythics were many. During the Ancients slumber, their numbers swelled and now there were far too many for the two remaining sisters. It was time to involve humans.

And so together with the returned Ancients, the Daughters of Lilith made the most powerful man in the world known about their task; the Roman Emperor Constantine. During the Council of Nicaea, while the Christian bishops convened to give order to a growing religion, Constantine was busy with another task. He formed a covenant with the Daughters of Lilith and the Ancients, promising unwavering support for their cause in exchange for their continued protection. He gave the order their name, The Legacy, and they are called so till this very day.

Some info on the world:

Legacy members are descendants of figures from folklore, mythology, legend, and fantasy.

The oldest daughter of a new generation is duty bound to enter the Legacy.

Use of magic and mythic arts is forbidden with the exception of the enchanted weapons that each member of the Legacy possesses. These weapons are passed down through the matriarchal lines.

Because many Legacy members are descendants of Mythics, they have latent powers or abilities, but the Legacy discourages them from developing them.

The Legacy only targets Mythics who prey on innocent people. They have a live and let live motto, until one of them breaks the laws set forth by the Stoker Accords.

Mythics blend into society and humans can’t tell a Mythic from an ordinary person. Ghost and spirits can recognize other Mythics. For this reason the Legacy employs mediums. The mediums use ghost and spirits as informants.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.
