Writer Looking for Artist (Pay Available)

Like many of us here, I'm getting into the comic writing game for the first time. I'm looking for an artist who can do the whole thing from pencils to inks, and possibly coloring and lettering, but if you can only do pencils please don't hesitate to get in touch. Before any payment begins, I would like to get samples of how you interpret the main characters from my descriptions of them. If necessary, I will pay for these samples, but since they don't have to be fully done up final drafts, I would not be looking to pay full price. If I dig the style, we can talk a price per page based on your standard rates and the quality of the work.
The project is about a realistic vigilante (no Batman exaggerated strength), and would be jumping between three main characters. This would probably be more of a serious project, and the style I'm thinking is rough. Somewhere between Adlard's The Walking Dead and Stegman's Superior Spider-man.
This IS a hobby for me, and I would probably be paying for this out of pocket, but I can tell you that the concept is solid for many issues and I definitely not be opposed to taking it past the hobby level if the opportunity presented itself. Why would I be opposed to making money?
