Artist looking for a writer/collaborator(Webcomic for fun!)

Post by iggypadder »

Hellou there!

I always wanted to make a webcomic but unfortunately i'm a terrible writer /and not a fluent English speaker. yep i'm aware that i may sound like a Russian peasant. sorry for my poor grammar :( /. And since i know that script is as important as art i decided to find someone to compliment my art with their writing and create one great piece! (yeah, right :'D).

What i want to make is a webcomic with strips connected with one topic for e.g. HISTORY (i'm really passionate about HISTORY *wink wink*) or with really short one-shots. But what is most important to me is to make it NEW, FRESH, UNIQUE, and SMART and FUNNY! :B (no zombies plzzz. i LOVE postAPO and zombies but for god's sake there is to much of this shit right now).

I don't want to make money of it. Of course it might happen that it will make us rich and famous but for now I'm hoping only for fair collaboration where we can share our ideas, improving our skills, discussing art and writing, and HAVE FUN! :)

Here is what i'm capable of ----> http://pajnduch.tumblr.com/ http://leepine.deviantart.com/

pls, PM me if you are interested.

Wish I could apply to work with you but I already have several scripting collaborations I have to finish up. One thing I would suggest is to show examples of actual COMIC work. If I was considering working with you I'd definitely want to see a sample of that, but than again others aren't so picky you should get plenty of people throwing stories at you. Definitely hold out for something you really like though, you're definitely a prize even without comic samples. Don't let that prize be won easily!

And a note for writers vying for this prize, definitely suggest not only multiple ideas but a variety! Give this rose plenty of ideas to chose from, from cute and happy to grimy and gritty. I see this woman's art to work particularly well with a silly comedy script in the style of Dresden Codak or an atmospheric work with elements of noir. I hope you get a writer worthy of you iggy!

Sincerely
Ruyei/Robert
