hey, my name is William and i'm looking for an artist who would be willing to work on a graphic novel. i have no money to pay at the time, that is why anyone who would be willing please contacted me. i am doing this to brake into the comic interested and it would be nice to have a young artist who also who like there chance to shine be my partner.

You need to entice artists to respond to you man... give them something to go on. Post a synopsis. Sequential art is a visual medium, put the story in their head so that they want to work with you! Now, I'm not the best writer in the world but I'll work my butt off to find the right artist. Here's an example:

MOCK-UP: Be prepared to submit one if you want the gig. We are a collective of artists/writers from all over the globe. A mock-up is not a requirment, however, we will select the artist for this gig based solely on the mock-up. 1) It gives us an opportunity to evaluate your interpetation skills of the script, can you take direction, are you slow, unresponsive to emails, do you listen to crappy music, etc. 2) Is your style right for THIS project? Reviewing your portfolio is a good indication of your skills. The mock-up can be as detailed or sloppy as you prefer. Please use the panel below as your reference.

SCRIPT: The script is available upon request, pages are five panels, max.

SYNOPSIS: After one fateful encounter at a rare bookstore Wicker, a young outcast who prefers the fringe, is set on an adventure she never could have imagined. Unwittingly, she recites a spell from the Book of Shadows given to her by a witch, binding her soul to a wraith entity who was scouring the astral plane searching for his murderer. Now the two are one, and Wicker has no choice but to help the wraith right this wrong that occurred nearly a century ago in order to separate herself from this otherworldly stranger. Her badly burned body is host to two separate entities as she struggles to find her purpose in her daunting and quickly unraveling future.

PANEL 1: (Wicker, a young alternative/punk girl in her early (20s) colored pixie hair, aviator sunglasses, smoking like a boss walks downtown streets at dusk. She’s gasoline attitude in search of a match and a riot. “Vandalism is as beautiful as a rock in a cops face.” The city streets are cobblestone, giving off an old town vibe, rustic. Towering buildings are futuristic, upside down ice-cycles. Earbuds blasting Ramones’ “Judy is a Punk.”)

I agree with Darkersho and I'll be more specific. You'll need to actually give EXAMPLES of the sort of work you do, one way to do this is to give examples of comic projects you can come up with and want to work on. Also, be specific and say you'll work on a project of the artist's own making, that will help. Something you may want to try is to link to a script of your own making, but I don't feel that's exactly necessary. Most important point, be open to ANYONE who wants to work with you. You're just starting out and not paying so you may get less than professional artists. In fact you already will, remember that getting experience is key and worse comes to worse you can do a piece with a developing artist to use as an example of your skills. I myself have found that I get better results from my looking for artist searches when I have examples of comics I've worked on in the past to show. You may even want to commission a short 8 page comic to serve as a sample if you trust your skills.
