I am a comic book writer looking for an artist to collaborate with on a Kickstarter project. As for the pay, we will both take 50-50 cuts of the profits. Please post a link to your work below if interested. Thank you!

I'm guessing you're just starting out so you don't know what the deal is, but considering that writers GREATLY outnumber the artists it is very hard for a writer to get one. Therefore you're going to really have to pimp yourself out. Perhaps give a link to work you've done, describe a couple of ideas you have as well as offer to work on an artists own project. Don't forget to not be picky on the artist you receive and to be as friendly and personable as possible. If all else fails also remember that it may be a good idea to pay for an artist, that's always your best bet. Also remember that amateur artists will often disappear on you or find that they have more work in rl than they can handle alongside comic duties. Be patient and open-minded and you'll go far. My first "job" as a writer was editing an artist's bad English for an already created comic so you really can't be picky. Anywho...good luck!

Sincerely,
Ruyei/Robert

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, I'm super new to this. In terms of ideas I have, there are a bunch, from horror to sci fi to comedy. I'm not really picky, anyone who has enough drawing ability to communicate my ideas works for me.

That's good advice that I didn't even think about. I need to go amend my post right quick... Thanks, Ruyei!
