Aspiring writer looking for an artist...this is a paying gig

I'm looking for an artist to work with on a comic I am currently working on.

The sypnosis: A shifting werewolf named Deacon who moonlights as a mechanic during the day but at night is works in conjunction of a high council made up of werewolves, vampires, sorcerers, and humans. He is the "fixer" of his wolf pack, any problems deemed as a threat to the packs existence or of the council he takes care of by any means necessary. With the help of his human pal Malcolm they take care of business while also seeking out the truth of who killed his father, the former alpha of the pack.

May not sound like much but I like the idea. I have a few other ideas as well I could share. One being in the sci fi realm and the other being a dark gritty serial killer theme.

Anywho as I said i'm looking for an artist to work with, I would need someone that can do all the artwork on the book as well as cover art. Ultimately for funding I would want to do a kickstarter campaign so we can work on the details of that as well.

As far as rates go I'm honestly not sure, what to expect cause i've seen pricing from one end of the spectrum to the next. Originally in my budget I was willing to pay 70$/page (if get kickstarted funding mind you) for a 24 pg work.

Before this post is too long, please get back to me with reasonable offers and would love to see some examples of your work. Thanks.

Good Job

Great pitch, for one thing you actually explained what your project is about and proved some creativity on your part. One thing that's going to bite you in the ass though is that you don't specify whether this is a paying gig or not. I'm guessing that's a no, but do remember that the artist to writer ratio is very small. You may have to pay to get your project make. Also, you yourself have stated that your topic has kinda been done to death in this day and age, which is good save you don't get into what your other ideas are about. I find that it's much better if the artist states his or her ideas up front without asking the artist to go the extra mile and contact the writer. Still, you're ahead above many of the other writers who simply say "I'm a writer, I want to work, I'm good." Good luck to you!

Sincerely,
Ruyei/Robert

Thanks for a positive response.

It would be a paying gig, I would just need to budget how much to pay an artist along with everything else in the kickstarter campagin. I guess that's just wishful thinking though.
