Seeking Artist For Project

Hi,

My name is Brechin Frost. I've been doing a fair bit of google searching in hopes of finding an artist to collaborate with me on a comic book and after reading many of the threads here and looking at the art, I have concluded this may be my best chance of finding someone talented.

Unfortunately, this is an unpaid gig initially but there is potential for back-end pay if the book is successful.

However, I like to think of this as a means to gain experience and build a portfolio. And thus, this would be a good project for less experienced artists in a similar position as I am in regards to their careers.

The Project:

Genre: Supernatural Drama

When her mother is diagnosed with cancer, Wish Donoghue hones a special ability, hoping to save her mother before it is to late. With the mission to create a strong, young woman character with amazing internal strength, intelligence, and courage that illustrates how inner strength and the power of one's convictions can prevail in the face of tribulation.

The goal of this project is to create a mini-series, with each issue telling part of a mini-series long story.

The script has not been completed due to my interest in having the input of the artist involved to ensure that the writing I do will fit the medium and their style.

I do have a complete pitch available for those that are interested.


A little bit of information about me:

I am twenty-three years old and from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Currently, I am in the midst of a short-film project that will be completed by the end of the summer. In addition to that, I'm working on a first novel (albeit slowly), have written local small theatre pieces and finally, I am shopping two screenplays. I'm very passionate about writing. The arts and creating are very important to me.

Most importantly, I love comic books. As a child, I loved reading Spiderman comics especially and now that I'm older, I have gotten back into reading series like The Sandman, Y: The Last Man, webcomic The Private Eye, and even the Buffy The Vampire Slayer Season 8 and 9 series.

Although the script hasn't been completed, I'd be more than willing to post the first couple pages. However, it would only be a draft since input is definitely welcome during the process.
