EDIT: Thank you for all the emails and replies! Although everyone's writing is terrific I think I've found the writer that works best with me. :)

Hello! I'm an ambitious illustrator looking for a writer to help me with my first major project. I have general plot, story, and characters ready, however. . .

I am not a good writer. I have poor development skills when it comes to scripts. I write cheesy and uninteresting dialogue. I have great characters but I lack the skill to make my plot cohesive. I need a writer to co-write with me, refine my somewhat broken plot, and last of all to create engaging, realistic dialogue for my characters. I need a writer that is comfortable with fantasy and drama. There is little to no romance in my story, and there are plenty of characters that can be played with. As the writer you are allowed to discuss with me ideas you think would be good for the plot or story. I'm open-minded and am eager to hear ideas.

My art and paneling style is a combination of Eastern Manga and Western comics. I grew up reading and enjoying both, so why stick to one style?

My story is High Fantasy and Drama. It involves magic, powers, and dwells more into deeper themes such as racism, trust, politics, and power. My story is a complex one with many layers, and although it is a lot to take in, it has been an interest to many.

I am, like mentioned, ambitious and very dedicated to this. The story has been in development for a few years and has been represented in many forms, one of which being an online Role Play forum, which was such a huge success that I had to put it on hiatus due to not being able to keep up with the participants' demands. So, there's already a known interest in the world and plot and an audience ready to engage in the story.

If you are interested, please email me at jwhitnee.91 @gmail and send in samples of your scripts or writing. Preferably something that showcases your character and dialogue skills. If need be I can explain to you the story summary. You must be able to chat with me via Skype IM and be able to talk or discuss things with me at the very least 2-3 times a week.[/b] The last writer that decided to help me never was available, and thus nothing was able to get done!

Things you will get in return:
-Your name will be credited as a writer of the graphic novel.
-I will be able to offer you with help on the illustration side. This will not pertain to sequential art / comics, but I can help with character design, book covers, etc. that you may needed for your own projects. I am open to a give-take relationship.
- My friendship-- I like making friends, and I like getting to know people. I don't like the people I work with to be strictly professional, as I believe fun is a good part of the creative process
- IF this graphic novel gets published and gets profit, you will receive a portion of it.

If there are any questions feel free to ask. :)

Do you have any art samples or a portfolio that interested writers may look at before inquiring further?

Yes, I have a few places.

My official college art blog is jwhitneyart.tumblr.com/archive
Whereas my for-fun/commission work is whitty-boo.deviantart.com

however, the latter has mostly out-of-date work, as I've had that account for 5+ years. Only the first 5-10 submissions on my featured page showcases my current skill level.

Interested

I am interested in your High Fantasy concept. I would love to help you implement racism, politics, and power into the comic and your art is pretty impressive. I've worked on mainly gaming concepts and have a couple of comic concepts that I never put into play, plus have an ongoing web-comic that I have written myself.

I am on skype everyday so would be able to work with you when needed.
I know you have not seen me write so send me some stuff from your comic that you think needs work, and I will try to improve it. If you like the edited version that I make to ideas and want me to be your co-writer/editor I would be happy to help.

Here is my webcomic that I am currently working on. (Don't worry my webcomic is far ahead in story-writing to where I have plenty of time to help you with yours).

What is your skype?

Hi! Although I think I've found the writer I want to work most with, I would still love to have you as a contact, so in the case that I need a new writer for a new project, I can hit you up. Thank you!
