Hello,

RocketBlast Comics is proud to announce we have three fully finished titles that will be released in the near future. These titles are Energyman #1, Air Raid Robertson #1, and PrideLands #1. Be on the lookout for these titles, you wont want to miss them!

That being said, we are looking to expand our catalog; as we only have about ten titles in production.

Here are some opening we have:

Artist for Quiver: Quiver is a story of a young, champion archer who is convinced by a retired vigilante to take the mantle of Quiver and protect Rocket City. This title has been scripted and is ready for art.

Artist for Flicker: Flicker is a story of a young Asian-American girl who amazingly gains the power to create and manipulate fire, which at first causes her house to burn down. She eventually learns to control her powers and becomes a "SuperFireFighter." The title is scripted and ready for art.

Artist for Robin Hood: This title is an interesting new take on the Robin Hood legend. It stays close to historical fact, but offers several twists along the way, including an eventual Ivanhoe crossover we are planning later. This title is scripted and ready for art.

Artist for Jack: Jack is about a young boy who is abused as a child, so much so he loses his mind and imagines his teddy bear talks and convinces him too commit atrocious murders. Jack is one of the superhero villains in our comic universe. This title is scripted and ready for art.

All guaranteed pay from Rocketblast is based on percentages, but page rates may be available from the writers themselves.

Rocketblast Comics is also interested in any pitches from writers or artists. A few story types we are interested in are:

A Western. I would like a good old, throw back cops and robbers story in the wild west. Possibly a Cowboys and Indians or even Civil War, or Mexico vs California story. Anything along those lines.

I would like to publish an Arabian adventure, like Aladdin and Prince of Persia.

I would like to publish a High Fantasy story, or possibly a deep space science fiction story. Im open to all pitches.

Please email all applications or pitches to rocketblastcomics@gmail.com, or visit the submissions page on our website: rocketblastcomics.mpresence.net

We have released one title and have several more coming. I'm not too fond of our current logo, and would like an artist to design a new one.

Western/Civil War Pitch

I sent you an email pitching a western. I can send the synopsis again:

It's set in Civil War era upstate South Carolina. It revolves around a man fighting for the Confederacy.

First scene: He's sitting around a campfire. He's in his mid 40s staring into the fire while the men around him are laughing after a victory. He just received a letter informing him that his daughter back home, age 10, just died. Unable to return home, he is torn between fighting a war he halfway believes in (now that battle has made him understand the horrors of war, he doesn't see where the necessity is for fighting against his fellow Americans), and returning to his grieving wife in upstate South Carolina. The story will be very character driven and revolve mainly around this Middle Aged man and his warring mind (dichotomy between warring outside and warring self). To add to this "warring self," maybe have his 20 year old son fighting for the Union.

I like the idea of having the art convey themes of internal conflict mirroring external conflict.

Two More Artist Openings

We are looking for artists of all kinds for these positions:

Viva: An alien invading force captures earth and a young woman who is hiding a secret must learn to survive and possibly lead a resistance.

EMP: A tie in to our popular Energyman title, this book focuses on a man who has lost everything, and decides to take part in a dangerous operation that will give him skills that could defeat Energyman if he ever goes rogue.

Lokians: Based on a popular series of sci fi novels, this book focuses on several different warring races who battle over worlds.

Flicker: A young girl gains fire based powers and becomes the worlds first "super fire fighter."

We always welcome creator owned projects with full creator teams. Submit anything and we will take a look.

All payments are back end percentage.
