Need some opinions

im am in the process of creating a sci fi occult type of graphic novel but i cant decide if i should do the whole origin story of how the main character got powers and began on their way or should i just begin the story and throw parts of the origin in where they fit.

any advice anyone could offer would be most appreciated.

I'd say jump into the story with action action. Fill in the holes with exposition. Let it be somewhat of a mystery.
