Looking for an artist to help produce a major series project

I have a story that I've been working on for years. It's fully developed from beginning to end. I want to publish it, but first I need an artist to help it be fully realized.

The story is about a young man named Sean, who finds himself trapped in an alternate world that is very much like our own. In this "Metal World", as it's called, he meets an army of medieval warriors, along with their leader, Guraiya. She tells the chilling tale of how Satan killed God, devouring his soul to add his power to his own. But filled with a continuing lust for power, Lucifer set his sights for their world. The army, calling themselves the Saints, act as the last means of protection should Satan and his army arrive.

Sean, an empty shell of a man who is devoid of any reason or worth of living, at first sees no reason to help; that is, until a young woman named Yata befriends him and risks her life to protect him, the first time anyone in his life has cared for him. With one simple act of kindness, he finally has something to fill the void in his heart:

The will to protect.

The two become bound to one body and fight as one, and Sean will stop at nothing to keep Yata safe from harm, and by extension, he will protect all that she cares for, including her world. Along the way he befriends a demon longing for atonement, and eventually he discovers his true purpose.

It's a story of what one is willing to do or to give up for the one they love, and a story of redemption.

I initially wanted to write it as a book, since I'm a much better author than I am an illustrator (that is to say, I have no skill whatsoever in the latter category), but I realized that if I want my vision to be fully realized, it would work much better in illustrated form.

If any of you are serious about producing a series, are capable of professional-level artwork, and would like to provide the art for my story, I'd love to arrange a partnership.

I would prefer a manga-esque style. Not overly cutesy, mind you, just not overly realistic, either. If you think your style would fit, then go ahead and speak up.

While you will most certainly receive monetary compensation for this, I would prefer to provide payment on a royalty basis (i.e. a percentage of the cut of profits from selling it) as opposed to a per-page basis, which, seeing how this is going to be a rather long epic, would get needlessly complicated. However, if you would rather like your payment to be up front, we can talk things through. As such, I would hope that anyone who applies is willing to dedicate themselves to the project.
