The Midnight TagerZ
Main Characters
XESÚS M
XYLIA F
XIMENA F
Living under a totalitarian regime has turned people complacent thinking that this way of life is fine. 24 hour police surveillance and martial law giving people a 6 o’clock curfew is enough freedom for them, but these three 16 year old kids don’t think so. They just want people to realize as humans we have more rights than this. At midnight every night these three BMX graffiti artists go tagging revolution propaganda hoping when people see it they will do something about it, but it seems no one sees the situation like they do. Because of the citizen’s good behavior and loyalty, the government has decided to create a day of freedom where they are given 24 hours to do what they want, but still maintaining basic laws of the society. So they still have to obey no killing, no stealing etc. They get to stay out for the whole 24 hours without complete police surveillance and martial law. For once feeling like we are people. These three kids use this day as a chance to change their people to realizing the regime they’re under and that as people we deserve to live like this every day. Can you really change the world in 24 hours?
The country this takes place in is made up, but is based off of the Rio favelas of Brazil. If you’re aware of what is going on in Brazil on the streets with the world cup and the police surveillance that has happened 2 years in a row then you get what this is about. Even if you understand the occupy movement of 2011 you get the message I’m trying to push with this comic, and yes there is a purpose to all of their names starting with the letter X.
Here is a documentary vice made showing what is happening on the other side of the world cup so you can understand if you want what I was talking about and why this place is based off of Brazil.

This is a non-paying gig, but I want to make books, posters, etc. So any money we make would be split 50/50.
So if you’re interested in working on this comic send me your art samples to this email or add me on Skype!
