Hello I'm a young artist around 16 years old and I'm in the 11th grade. I've had some experiences in creating comics such as drawing and inking. Ill admit I'm not the greatest at coloring but, I am very proud of my skill to draw. I haven't quite gotten use to creating a online portfolio though so that is a still in progress though I can put a link to a state contest I won twice ill put the links in here along with my e-mail.

Advice
I won't target the topic of your age, in the end it is your work that should decide whether you get the job or not (Though I recommend you NOT opening with your age next time, it's slightly off putting being that many of us aren't minors). What does bother me is that there is no portfolio. It is understandable if you were looking for an unpaid collaboration with what you have, and given your possible inexperience that may be what's best for you to build such a portfolio and grow as an artist. However looking for a paid collaboration requires that you show what you are capable of not only through illustration, but most importantly through comic art. Illustration and comic art are MUCH different from each other and I've worked with artists with great illustration who just didn't have the skills yet to do a comic. It's cool that you received some recent awards but they should bolster your portfolio, not BE your portfolio. That said, I recommend modifying your post to allow for unpaid collaboration so you can build a portfolio, perhaps make a post looking for a short comic script or perhaps even a short story you can adapt. The key is if someone is going to pay you you have to prove it with a varied set of comic art and perhaps some illustration (Though mostly comic art). So far given your showing it will be slightly difficult to find an unpaying collaboration to mention a paying one, though I can guarantee you'll get one if you are open to the prospect. Luckily for someone just starting out there are MANY more writers than artists and such you will have at least three writers to chose from should you decide to go that route.
Sincerely,
Ruyei
