aspiring writer looking to built skills
i an aspiring writer trying to break into comics, right now am just doing my think.i would like to help you with your idea's,concept and also writing.
Advice
So you're a beginning writer, that's good. However you're going to need a better pitch, and you are going to have to pitch yourself to prove that you have what it takes. You're going to have to introduce yourself to everyone here.
First obvious point, SpellCheck! Even the most minor of errors can be unsightly in a post and your post is near unreadable at points even as a single sentence. Definitely make sure that your post is neat, readable, and presents yourself in the light that you want to be presented.
Second point: Introduce yourself! Who are you? What do you like to write or want to write? What are your goals in making great content or perhaps pushing the boundaries of comic writing. Make yourself appear as a person instead of simply saying "Hey I want to write." Explain to us why you want to write and make yourself look cool in the process.
Third (And this is optional though I feel it is important) Suggest some of your ideas or simply link to your best writing if you have any. An artist will want to judge you based on what you can do and you're going to need to show off your creativity. You can do this by explaining interesting approaches to story telling, listing some ideas you have concerning comics or as I said linking to writing to show you can do it.
If the artist knows who are you are you do more than set yourself apart, it portrays yourself as an individual rather than some writing on the wall. Artists (And writers too) want to work with people even if they are just starting out in writing. Present yourself well in your opening post and you just may attract another starting or better artist willing to go through this comicing journey with you. And if you can't find someone here? Try other sites like Digitalwebbing and smackjeeves that also have looking for creator forums. Worse comes to worse remember that you are a writer! Try writing some short stories and get criticism, honing your skills and your creative mind. Don't give up! Do what you can to achieve your dream of writing a comic and the distinction of doing so will come. It is a long and grueling road once you get there but this writer thinks it's well worth it.
Sincerely,
Ruyei/Rob
